4 Habits of a Happy You

Do you believe that everyone must come to your house for thanksgiving? Or are you tired of hosting thanksgiving dinner?

Are you frustrated when someone brings canned cranberries instead of organic homemade cranberry sauce?

Do you get angry when the guys are sitting in front of the T.V. watching football instead of helping you cook? Or do you get annoyed when they do try to help you cook?

What beliefs are you carrying that negatively trigger you?

It’s the small things in life that can bring you down a negative spiral.
Here are 4 ways to change your beliefs:

You

  • You observe your behaviors, attitudes and words and you determine whether or not they are serving you
  • When you decide to change, you challenge your negative beliefs.
  • When you take responsibility for your words and actions, you know if it’s time for you to change

Expectation

  • When you have an emotional charge associated with your expectation that’s when you know it’s time to change
  • You don’t expect anything because when you have an expectation you can be let down and fall into your spiral
  • When you realize you have an expectation rooted in either your positive or negative beliefs that’s when you should take a step back and rethink your expectations

Pain/Pleasure

  • If you’ve spent holidays in the past in pain then that pain is what can push you forward, the pain of the past can be seen as a reason to change or you can sit in misery
  • Use the pain of the past to motivate you to a more positive future
  • Let the feeling of a pleasurable holiday ignite your determination to create a positive holiday season of connection with open heart

Something New

  • You have worked on your negative and positive serving beliefs, riding what is no longer serving you which makes room for something new to arrive
  • Opening your heart by changing your beliefs will open your heart to new change
  • Change is created when something new arrives into your life
