How to Keep your Head in the Game

How’s your New Year’s Resolution going?

Did you start the New Year thinking, “I’m going to workout 5x a week for the entire year.”

Have you made it to the gym 5 times yet?

Have you been able to keep up with cooking more meals at home, spending more time with your kids, eating less sugar, meditating more or whatever it was you chose to implement into your new year?

How’s your life going to change once you meet this New Year’s Resolution and follow through with it?

Check out this week’s video for some extra tips on sustaining your change this year.

Resolution Example: Having More Patience

My strong Why:

If I have more patience my relationship with my husband is going to be better then it already is because patience gives me a moment to step back and remember that he was raised differently than me so he is going to have a different opinion on how to raise the kids. I choose patience to welcome his opinion and find peace in how we raise our children together.

Creating more peace in the household gives me the momentum I need to create more patience within myself. More patience will bring more loving communication and more connected relationships rooted in unconditional love.

My Out picture to Take Action:

With my smart phone I set alarms to remind me of my New Year’s Resolution throughout the day.

  1. Take 3 deep breaths at 7:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
  2. Demonstrate Caring at 9:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

These alarms remind me that my end goal is to be patient and give me a moment to rate myself on a scale of 1-10 of how patient I’m actually being.

If I’m not at an 8,9 or 10, I make sure I get myself there instantly.

It’s time to set your alarms, calendar your resolution and make your Year YOURS!

  1. This is awesome! Patience and breathing together. Love what you are doing. Phone reminders work really well for me. I set them to remind me of who I truly am and my word of the year “OBSERVE” because ultimately its all just happening! I am abundant, I am healthy, I am JOYFUL!
