What is it like to live from an awakened heart? We feel so much love so much forgiveness, compassion, love, joy, and peace. At times we experience not living in these states and experience a limiting heart when we have an attachment.
Attachment can, however, mask itself as love. When we love someone with the end result of needing something from them. Or we love them and expect them to love us back or love us the way we want them to love us. This is the kind of love that is detrimental to us. This is not the fullness of love, but rather an attachment due to fear and holding on too tight. However, if we look and examine what causes this attachment, we can see it is coming from a constricted, fear-based and conditional place. It limits us to love only certain people in certain ways. Love is not exclusive. It is open and accepting. It comes from a universal feeling of caring and connectedness. It comes from a place of true dedication and wishing the best for others.
It is loving someone regardless of how we approve of them in our lives. We see them as another being and cultivate compassion for them. True love comes from values that lead us to give, serve and care for one another
It embraces all beings without exception and discards ill thoughts. Love is not passive acceptance. It is a powerful force that can transform any situation.
